Eddie Harris is one of the best saxophonists of all time. He also created some incredible "intervallic" method books and exercises that will blow your mind, effectively mixed rock, jazz and funk in a very different manner from Miles and Herbie, and he invented one of the most effective electric saxophones.

Along with Ian Underwood's playing on Frank Zappa's "Uncle Meat," the electric trumpet playing of Miles Davis and Don Ellis, it was Eddie Harris that shaped my approach into the eventual creation of the robot bass clarinet that I used for the next 7 years to compose and perform with the progressive rock bands Faun Tumnus and magnesium, and to create a handful of solo material that is now available as the album "Robot Music."
