Twin Peaks was a big influence in my life at the end of high school and as I started music school in 1992. The TV series and the film both featured incredible and moody music by Angelo Badalamenti, and had a deep subconscious effect on my musical decisions and personality: bluesy improvised bass clarinet was featured in the series as well as a Japanese shakuhachi flute being introduced within the narrative of the show. As of this writing (October 2013) bass clarinet and shakuhachi continue to be the primary twin focci of all my musical expression and endeavors.
